Network Homes to create transformational regeneration scheme in Southall Housing Zone

Network Homes has purchased 0.66 hectares of land in Southall, Ealing, to create a transformational regeneration scheme of circa 500 homes plus substantial commercial space, subject to planning.

The proposed £200 million project will aim for a range of affordable homes for rent and shared ownership, as well as homes for outright market sale. Start on site is anticipated in spring 2018 with phased handovers of properties between 2020 and 2022. The development will provide a mix of high quality studio, 1, 2 and 3 bedroomed homes. Sales values are currently expected to begin at around £275,000 for studios and over £500,000 for 3 beds.

This strategic site at Merrick Road, Southall, sits in the heart of the Southall Housing Zone and close to the Southall Crossrail station, which will begin running services to central London (17 minutes) and Heathrow (8 minutes) from May 2018.

Southall has been identified as a key opportunity area for housing growth and regeneration by both Ealing Council and the Greater London Authority, and our scheme will play a crucial role in helping place make a new and vibrant residential and commercial area in the town.

Vicky Savage, Executive Director of Development, said “Network Homes has an excellent reputation for producing the kind of landmark schemes which can help transform the life of a neighbourhood. We have won multiple awards for our major regeneration sites and we want to create an outstanding scheme at Merrick Road that will benefit the people of Southall for generations to come. We will be working very closely with our partners at Ealing Council and the GLA to achieve the best possible outcomes for the area.”

We are currently in detailed discussions with the planners at LB Ealing, with a view to submitting a planning application in summer 2017.
