  • Environmentally friendly homes and buildings

    We aim to make our homes environmentally sustainable to build and to live in. We want to develop our methods of construction, the materials we use and the technologies we include within our homes to improve their sustainability performance, giving our customers the opportunity to live in a more environmentally-friendly way.

    We have reduced the use of water and energy in our homes by carefully selecting more efficient fixtures such as dual-flush toilets and low-energy light fittings.

    We consider each site’s location and surroundings. We look at the relationship and links to nearby community facilities and connection to transport links to reduce car use and encourage walking, cycling or use of public transport.

    We design our sites and buildings carefully to keep the amount of waste taken off the site (from demolition, excavation and construction) to a minimum.

    All sites have an ecological impact assessment to assess the effect development will have on the plants and wildlife in and around the site (either positive or negative). Final designs often include features to reduce any negative effect of the site on the ecology of the area or to improve the ecological value of the site. For example, keeping significant landscape features such as hedgerows or providing routes for local wildlife.

    To reduce the risk of flooding, our developments are designed to keep run-off of rainwater to a minimum and to not overburden the public sewerage system.

  • New homes warranty

    When you buy a new home from Network Homes, you will get a guarantee from a building warranty provider such as the National House Building Council (NHBC), Premier Guarantee or the LABC. These are normally 10-12 year warranties and they will cover you against the unlikely event of a major defect to the structure of the property.

  • Consumer Code for Home Builders

    We comply with The Consumer Code for Home Builders which outlines good practice requirements all home builders must meet.

    The purpose of the Code is to ensure that home buyers are treated fairly, know what service levels to expect, are given reliable information to make their decision and know how to access speedy, low-cost dispute-resolution arrangements if they are dissatisfied.

    We will continue to provide you with friendly support and guidance after you have bought your new home and moved in.

    Moving into a new home should be an enjoyable event, not a stressful one and we will do everything we can so you can focus on enjoying your new home.

    Our in-house Aftercare team will provide you with a personal and customer friendly service to help you settle into your new home as quickly and comfortably as possible. The team is highly trained and visits every development. This is to ensure they have first hand knowledge of your home to help with any questions you may have.
